Hello Everyone! My name is Court and this is my very first Youtube video! I'm so excited to finally be doing this, I've been wanting to get into content creation for awhile. I want to create practical and simple tutorial series for web development! For my first tutorial series, I'm starting out with the MEAN stack, which is using Express, Node.js, Angular, and MongoDB to create a modern web application. I intend this tutorial series to be very hands on, where I walk you through each step from development to deploying to production. I'll also be including containerizing development with Docker, DevOps procedures with Github, deploying with Amazon Web Services using EC2 Ubuntu instances, and setting up MongoDB Atlas for a remote database. However, I will be focusing entirely on how to implement this stack from start to finish, but I don't intend to get into theory, such as how Angular compiler works. If you are someone that is wanting to start a MEAN stack application and see the process from start to finish, this is the place for you! In this episode, I discuss the big picture architecture of our project and walk through project setup of our two services, the frontend (Angular) and backend (Express) services. Also, you'll see how to upload a project to version control using Github, how to create your first cluster on MongoDB Atlas, and how to start a Node.js project. Install Links: - Postman: https://www.postman.com/downloads/ - Node.js: https://nodejs.org/en/download/ - Visual Studio Code: https://code.visualstudio.com/download - Docker: https://docs.docker.com/get-docker/ Important Links: - Atlas: https://www.mongodb.com/cloud/atlas/lp/try2?utm_source=google&utm_campaign=gs_americas_united_states_search_core_brand_atlas_desktop&utm_term=mongodb%20atlas&utm_medium=cpc_paid_search&utm_ad=e&utm_ad_campaign_id=12212624338&gclid=CjwKCAjwr_uCBhAFEiwAX8YJgeLN-7MQe_fA_48Gddo1SVegM_1rPFB9QqEAZEzRGEr_L8tGCJriKxoCTu4QAvD_BwE - Angular Documentation: https://angular.io/docs - Angular Material: https://material.angular.io/ Any questions or special requests?
